Ushers & Greeters
The ushers and greeters provide a valuable service on Sunday mornings. Not only are they the initial contact many people have when they attend for the first time, they also perform necessary services during the Sunday service.
Greeters
Greeters are the first official representative of Jesus Christ when entering God’s house. Their welcoming attitude helps establish a Spiritual tone for the service.
“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.” Mark 9:37Ushers
The friendly members of the usher team are key in the process of bringing people to Christ. Whether handing out bulletins, helping find a seat, collecting the offering or assisting someone in locating a classroom, an usher is always conveying the warmth and friendliness of SVCC. Ushers are considered the doorkeepers of God’s house.
Ushers are called “doorkeepers” Psalm 84:10
