Need help finding a Small Group?
We're Better Together!
We ARE better together! South Valley Community Church has discovered the best place to connect and grow together is in Small Groups. We learn to grow spiritually and relationally. We learn to care for one another in love, and to become the men and women God wants us to be. We learn what true "commUNITY" is about as we strive to be a church of small groups.
SVCC Small Group Mission Statement:
To connect people relationally in groups for the purpose of sharing the love of Christ, growing in Christ-likeness and for fellowship. We do this to glorify God and fulfill our church's mission of "mobilizing God's people to reach the unchurched."
What are small groups?
The pattern of the first century church was to meet in large and small group fellowships. Each fulfilled a purpose the other could not. They provide support in times of crisis, change and stress. A Small Group is where "big" becomes "small."
Small Groups are a place for you to get connected, and to assist you on your journey to grow closer to God and His family. Groups meet weekly, biweekly or monthly in homes, at church and numerous other convenient places. They are led by volunteers who have agreed to open their homes to a group of people. Most Small Groups consist of discipleship, prayer and fellowship. Members are encouraged to share their life experience, spiritual insights and how they're applying the lessons they've learned. Each group develops its own personality, based on the type of group, curriculum chosen and the spiritual maturity of its members.
We have many groups covering a variety of topics. We're sure to have one to suit your needs and interests. For information contact susan@svccgilroy.com
